Job Description
The Associate Operations Coordinator (Transportation Operations Representative) supports end-to-end transportation processes by executing daily shipment management tasks, maintaining accurate system data, and delivering responsive customer and carrier support. This role focuses on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction while following established company policies and standard operating procedures in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
+ Execute daily transportation-related tasks with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and adherence to company policies and standard operating procedures.
+ Provide timely and accurate shipment information to customers and carriers through multiple communication channels.
+ Create and activate orders and shipments in transportation management and related systems.
+ Build and assign loads within transportation management systems to support on-time pickup and delivery.
+ Schedule pickup and delivery appointments in coordination with customers, carriers, and internal teams.
+ Track and trace shipments throughout the lifecycle to ensure on-time execution and proactively identify issues.
+ Enter shipment events promptly and complete invoicing functions accurately in the system.
+ Monitor task boards and assigned email inboxes to respond quickly to customer and carrier requests.
+ Document shipment events clearly and accurately using knowledge gained through SOPs and prior experience.
+ Follow defined escalation procedures when operational issues arise or additional support is required.
+ Follow through on customer and carrier requests to ensure resolution and a high level of satisfaction.
+ Validate and maintain the accuracy of load and shipment data in systems according to company and customer standards.
+ Escalate questions, issues, or complex requests to appropriate team members or leadership when necessary.
+ Collaborate with internal teams in a high-performance, team-oriented environment to support overall transportation operations.
Essential Skills
+ High school diploma or GED.
+ Previous customer service experience.
+ Ability to work evenings and/or weekends, depending on assigned schedule.
+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
+ Ability to follow defined processes, SOPs, and escalation procedures.
+ Effective verbal and written communication skills for customer, carrier, and internal interactions.
+ Strong prioritization and time management abilities in a fast-paced setting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
+ Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
+ Prior customer service experience in a call center or similar high-volume environment.
+ Prior experience working in a role that requires high attention to detail and data accuracy.
+ Experience in logistics, transportation, operations, or administrative support.
+ Experience with data entry and working within transportation management or similar systems.
+ Demonstrated commitment to and appreciation for a diverse and inclusive work environment.
+ Strong customer support and customer service mindset.
+ Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative culture focused on innovation and excellence.
Work Environment
The training schedule for the first three weeks is Monday through Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., with training conducted in the office. After training, the role follows one of several fixed schedules that include evening and weekend hours, with Minnesota-compliant 30-minute meal breaks built into the schedule. Example schedules include Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., and Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., with a limited number of slots available for each schedule. Team members are expected to remain in their chosen schedule for approximately one year to fully learn and perform the role before moving to a different schedule or opportunity. The work model is primarily hybrid, with contractors required in the office for training and one day per month, and the option to work in the office more frequently if desired.

This is a Contract position based out of Eden Prairie, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr.
