Job Description:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Digital Performance Marketing, the Associate Manager, Bilingual Content & French GEO, is responsible for driving marketing ROI across owned digital channels through high-performing English and French content, Quebec-specific SEO strategy, and experimentation to strengthen visibility—especially within AI-generated search. This role ensures culturally nuanced, optimized, and consistently high-quality French content that enhances Quebec market performance.

DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

As part of the TD Canadian Marketing team, the Growth Marketing team is responsible for leading our digital marketing transformation.  The team carries the mandate to build the digital marketing ecosystem to enable relevant personalized communications in all interactions with our customers.  Leveraging a best-in-class content strategy, our personalized communications will ensure TD is delivering breakthrough creative and the best, personalized and connected experience for our customers. The second goal of the group is to drive leadership in all digital marketing channels across paid, owned and earned. This means that we will strive to enable best-practices in each channel, define the leading practices and beat competitive benchmarks.  The primary goal of the group is to optimize the customer journey from start to finish, ultimately improving performance and driving ROI in each marketing channel for our business and channel partners. 

JOB DESCRIPTION AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Content Strategy & Execution

Lead end-to-end English and French content strategy, including creation, optimization, testing, and performance measurement in collaboration with internal partners.

Ensure content quality, freshness, and local relevance across all pages and experiences.

Maintain English–French content parity and ensure translations or French-first content preserve brand meaning and SEO integrity.

Build and manage content refresh roadmaps informed by GEO and performance data.

Maintain consistent brand voice, UX, and messaging across both languages

Quebec & French GEO Leadership

Develop and execute Quebec-specific SEO and AI-visibility strategies, ensuring cultural nuance and relevance.

Lead keyword, topic, and entity mapping for French content.

Partner with the National GEO Manager to test and optimize brand visibility across traditional search and AI engines.

Monitor French inclusion, accuracy, and sentiment in AI-generated responses; identify visibility gaps.

Testing, Optimization & Analytics

Collaborate with internal optimization team to design and run A/B/multivariate tests (messaging, layout, personalization, tone) in both languages.

Collaborate with analytics, optimization, and design teams to interpret data and implement insights.

Integrate local targeting elements (Quebec CTAs, tone, modules) to improve engagement and conversion.

Maintain a consistent bilingual testing cadence and act as a subject-matter expert on bilingual test execution.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Reporting

Work closely with PR/social to strengthen earned mentions and entity reinforcement.

Partner across the GEO pod, analytics, personalization, and web ops to translate strategy into measurable outcomes.

Prepare Quebec AI visibility reports and lead bilingual performance reporting and insights storytelling for stakeholders.

Manage multiple concurrent content, testing, and optimization initiatives with precision and alignment

QUALIFICATIONS

Core Skills & Experience

Fully fluent in English and Quebec French, with demonstrated cultural and linguistic expertise.

Minimum 5 years in digital marketing with strong experience in SEO, content strategy, and performance optimization.

Proven ability to create or manage localized content specifically for the Quebec market.

Strong understanding of how language, structure, and semantics influence search and AI retrievability.

Skilled in writing, editing, and structuring content for clarity, intent alignment, and SEO strength.

Technical Expertise

Experience with AEM, GA4, GSC, Looker Studio, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, and localization tools.

Proficient with SEO and site performance platforms (Semrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog).

Experience with experimentation and personalization frameworks.

Marketing & Optimization Experience

Track record managing SEO-driven content programs and delivering measurable performance outcomes.

Experience working in agile content environments and guiding agency or vendor partners.

Knowledge of digital acquisition, digital experience optimization, and always-on campaign execution.

Ability to develop scorecards, performance dashboards, and insights for senior audiences.

Leadership & Collaboration

Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Proven ability to influence and collaborate across teams and lead enterprise-level initiatives.

Adaptable, analytical thinker with strong problem-solving and strategic planning abilities.

Solid teamwork orientation with an ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.

Understanding of financial product offerings.

Experience optimizing cross-device experiences (desktop, mobile, tablet).

University or Post-Secondary education in Business and/or Marketing
