Associate Manager, Sales and Use Tax (hybrid)
We’re seeking a detail-oriented Associate Manager, Sales and Use Tax to support our tax compliance and risk management efforts. In this role, you’ll assist with managing audits, conducting risk and exposure analysis, reconciling accounts, and preparing due diligence reports for mergers and acquisitions. You’ll play a key part in integrating acquisitions, researching tax issues, and ensuring proper documentation and controls are in place. This position will also collaborate with Finance, IT, and business units to resolve tax issues, classify materials, and support departmental tax projects. This hybrid role can be based out of our Portage, MI; Flower Mound, TX or Mahwah, NJ office. You will be expected in the office 2 days a week with the flexibility to work from home the other days: **Who we want** **Collaborators.** Relationship-savvy people who intentionally make and strengthen connections with both internal partners and external customers. **Problem solvers.** Innovative thinkers who are excited to find a way to overcome a challenge or accomplish a new task. **Dedicated achievers.** People who thrive in a fast-paced environment and will stop at nothing to ensure business goals and objectives are met. **What you will do** + Assist in managing sales and use tax processes, including audits, ASC 450 reporting, and risk/exposure analysis. + Prepare reconciliation reviews and tax due diligence reports for mergers and acquisitions. + Oversee sales and use tax integration for acquisitions, including documentation, risk analysis, and remediation planning. + Research and document tax issues, positions, and classifications for materials and capital expenditures. + Manage use tax accrual reviews, short pay process reviews, and assist with compliance as needed. + Draft and update internal controls to ensure proper compliance as processes evolve. + Collaborate with Finance, IT, and business units to identify, research, and resolve sales tax issues. + Support departmental tax projects and foster strong relationships across business units and cross-functional teams. **What you need** **Required:** + Bachelor's degree + 6+ years sales tax or comparable experience + Experience in Microsoft Office© applications including Word, PowerPoint and Excel **Preferred** + Combination of Fortune 500 corporate tax department or CPA firm experience + Experience with SAP, Alteryx, and Vertex $87,600 - $186,700 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits.
