Support the creative design functions of the Merchandise team to guide the creative process, art pack development and creative work order (CWO) under directions from creative design manager
Develop creative concepts and ideas for product development, develop innovative and compelling ideas on projects that align with other Line of Business (LOB); support creative team for Ad Hoc projects. Manage the creative process, also involved in project planning and execution.
Monitor external vendors to ensure quality execution and compliance of established guidelines and style guideline with the Disney standard.
Problem solving for different issues of creative design, style guide development, work with Product Development team and partners on CWO creation, support ad hoc projects etc
Manage creative process including project planning and execution; monitor progress and make necessary adjustments along the way to maintain quality and meet deadlines.
Stay update on industry and merchandise trends and seek opportunities to enhance the creative output and deliver exceptional design
Job requirements
Bachelor's degree in design or related disciplines
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience with excellent creative senses on Style Guide development and CWO for merchandise development.
Strong leadership skills to lead and mentors design specialists to deliver quality on assigned projects, manage tight and aggressive product development timeline
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with various stakeholders. Stay abreast of share best practice in merchandise creativity.
Ability to identify, direct and supervise external creative partners, including other Teams and LOBs.
Professional skills of Macintosh and PC compute with strong computer and hand sketching skills.
Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator, for creative support in daily workflow.
Candidates with less experience will be considered as Specialist role
Design portfolio is required.
