Position Summary

This position is responsible for providing clinical product support to all end users of our pioneering Mako SmartRobotics system. Responsibilities include on-site guidance during surgical procedures, training, ongoing in-services, customer education for assigned accounts, and active engagement in related sales activities.
The Mako Product Specialist (MPS) drives continuous clinical adoption and account growth by collaborating with key hospital staff, thought leaders, and referring physicians to build a strong referral network and increase procedural and implant volume.
The MPS also supports site and case growth by translating the clinical value of Mako into tangible economic benefits. Additionally, the MPS provides product feedback to enhance system performance and customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Successfully complete Mako certification during the probation period.

Provide intraoperative case coverage as a certified Mako Product Specialist.

Deliver training and clinical/technical support to surgeons and OR staff on the use of the robotic-arm system, associated instruments, and software to ensure accurate and precise implant placement.

Utilize proprietary planning software to prepare pre-operative CT scans and assist surgeons with implant planning, sizing, and positioning.

Submit detailed reports and performance metrics to management, including case reviews, service logs, customer feedback, and recommendations for improvement.

Manage and maintain local consigned Mako inventory.

Process sales orders and provide accurate forecast inputs to sales and operations teams.

Support educational and marketing initiatives as needed, and engage in sales activities for both Mako and other Stryker products.
Offer potential customers hands-on demonstrations and communicate clinical and technical benefits effectively.

Ensure timely and accurate complaint reporting in compliance with Stryker's quality system.

Promote the clinical value of the portfolio and foster strong, lasting relationships with key surgeons and operating room staff at target accounts.

Education & Special Trainings

Preferably at least 1 year of prior experience in a sales and/or technical capacity in the medical, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and related digital tools.
