PURPOSE
The Site Logistics Operations Coordinator is part of the Site Logistic Team (SLT), which is integrated into the Supply Chain Logistics Cluster within Supply Chain Management. The team is responsible for providing logistics services for sites as well as for our product and customer teams as part of dedicated mission teams. The key outcomes of SLT are supporting the timely delivery of materials and products with efficient cost management and without quality incidents, while creating the right framework to be cost-efficient, compliant, and sustainable as a logistics function in the long term. The team acts as an internal service provider for the described teams. As such, it has a significant impact on our ability to serve our patients and consumers.
The Site Logistics Operations Coordinator is responsible for ensuring timely shipments to global customers while maintaining material traceability and accuracy. This role is critical to regulatory and customer compliance, overseeing essential safety and procedural processes to protect employees, customers, and the Bayer brand.
The Site Logistics Operations Coordinator has very good understanding of the site logistics process, associated stakeholders and desired outcomes. The Logistics Operations Coordinator possesses strategic and tactical mindset and brings leadership capabilities that enable him/her to lead teams in the work environment.
Hours are Monday – Friday 6am – 2:30pm or 8am-4:30pm
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for the leadership of work-related activities to Site Logistics areas distribution, including in-bound receiving, returns receiving, outbound shipments and international shipments. This position assists with decision making ability to accurately set daily priorities within the warehouse and the ability to work collaborative across multiple functions.
The Site Logistics Operations Coordinator can be flexibly deployed to the following work tasks / deployments (not limited to):
• Leadership of work related activities to Site Logistics, including inbound receiving, returns, outbound shipments, and international shipments;
• Ensure smooth daily operations while maintaining flexibility to adapt to changing demands;
• Create and update Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) instructions; conduct safety briefings and training sessions;
• Coordinate and implement the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring they are adequately trained for their roles;
• Monitor operational conditions through regular inspections to ensure compliance with GMP, HSE regulations, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs);
• Document GMP deviations and ensure effective implementation of corrective actions (CAPA);
• Communicate operational data to support transparency and informed decision-making within the logistics area;
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and manage projects to optimize logistics operations and enhance productivity.

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School Degree/GHD;3+ years of relevant work experience in materials, manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain, including up to 1 year of academic understanding of supply chain principles;2 years of demonstrated leadership experience, particularly with direct labor personnel;Strong analytical and strategic thinking with a focus on safety, quality, delivery and cost awareness;Goal-oriented working style with commitment and readiness to perform;Demonstrated decisiveness and adaptability in a dynamic environment;Ability to lead employees effectively, including structuring tasks, conveying operational objectives, and conducting performance discussions;Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service and continuous improvement;Proven sound judgment with a continuous improvement mindset and a strong focus on customer satisfaction;Collaborative mindset with strong persuasiveness, communication, and cooperation skills;Proven ability to resolve conflicts and maintain a positive working environment;Very good knowledge of operational processes, tasks, applications, and workflows in logistics; as well as good understanding of GMP and HSE regulations;Proficient in Office applications and SAP.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associates or Bachelor's Degree;1+ years of SAP P2R experience.
Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $54,592.00 to $81,888.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or incentive compensation (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc..
This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
