The Opportunity:

UST is looking for Linux Build Engineer.

 

Key Roles & Responsibilities:


1. Customer Reference Board (CRB) – Linux-Based Board Known Configuration (BKC) Support

·       creation of a new image for each BKC cycle

·       Includes kernel compilation, image preparation, and debug support

·       Support needed for new BKC cycles or debug requests

 

 2. QEMU (Quick Emulator) scope - Virtual & Host Environment Support

·       Ownership of bringing up new platforms in QEMU, including initial setup of all components and software

·       Maintain and troubleshoot automation/debug scripts if needed

·       Support with virtual test environment issues

 

3. Linux servers (lab/server room)

·       Monitor system availability

·       Reboot, reconfigure or recover servers in case of failures

·       DHCP or network service maintenance if problems occur

 

4. Chrome + ALOS image builds –

·       Primarily update as part of BKC cycles

·       Bring-up related issues in the platform

 

5. Linux image builds

·       new image creation when needed

·       coordination and manual triggering

 

6. Engineering team’s specific image release

·       Should be released in collaboration with the Engineering team’s

·       Require ownership of packaging or validation steps

 

7. User support / Ad-hoc troubleshooting

·       Day to day User requests related to platforms, images, or infrastructure

·       Involve troubleshooting or providing guidance on specific Linux/Chrome issues

 

Required Skills:
Linux, CRB, BKC.
