Overview of the Role

The Accounting Control & Data QA Team is responsible for ensuring the integrity and validation of data held within the Aladdin Accounting Book of Record, which supports client valuation reporting and performance calculations. As a Junior Analyst within the Accounting Control Team, you will help to support the integrity of the Aladdin Accounting Platform through the investigation & resolution of Quality Control (QC) checks as part of the data validation process. You will help to validate the accounting dataset for onward production of periodic Valuation and Performance reporting and assist with queries from Accounting Control activities. In this role, you will work on a range of QC checks and queries, liaising with upstream operational teams to support the accurate and timely flow of accounting data. Building good working relationships with internal teams is important to ensure effective collaboration and the success of the team.

Key Responsibilities
• Support the Accounting Control team with day-to-day assigned tasks.
• Assist with quality control checks on the Aladdin Accounting platform, using dashboards to monitor activity.
• Help to prepare dataset for periodic valuation reports, ensuring they are accurate and completed on time.
• Work on resolving basic queries and help maintain high business control standards.
• Follow standard processes and procedures and support the team’s global consistency.
• Participate in ongoing reviews of systems and workflows, suggesting improvements or new tools where appropriate.
• Escalate issues and queries outside of agreed standards to Senior Analysts when needed.
• Build good working relationships with team members and other operational areas.
• Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Carry out assigned tasks under supervision, asking for guidance from Senior Analysts as necessary. Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Good problem-solving skills and high attention to detail
• Ability to organise and prioritise tasks effectively.
• Willingness to learn and develop professionally.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
• Interest in, or some knowledge of, the securities or fund management industry is an advantage (but not required).
• Open to feedback, adaptable to change, and keen to improve.
