We are looking for an experienced attorney to provide legal advice and support to leaders across our top twenty proprietary funds management business. The work is dynamic and requires the ability to look beyond the specific legal questions to understand the goals of the business and aid in getting the best solution. This opportunity will afford the successful candidate the opportunity to lead a team in support of this work and to be a part of a culture that inspires and supports the individual and allows them to be part of a team focused on delivering solutions. **What you'll do:** + Lead a team of two attorneys and one paralegal in providing legal services in support of our proprietary funds business + Use deep understanding of the Investment Company Act and related regulation Act to act as a key advisor to our proprietary funds business teams + Provide strategic thought and legal leadership to support and advise the Firm and its affiliates on a wide range of matters pertaining to the development and operation of our proprietary funds + Develop and implement solutions to eliminate, manage and mitigate risk to the Firm + Analyze and resolve complex legal matters and recommend changes to organizational policies and procedures + Apply sound judgment, decision making, and conflict resolution skills and successfully partner with associates across the Firm and Legal Division to deliver results and move important work through the organization + Employ excellent communication (oral and written), presentation and interpersonal skills to convey complex issues to legal and non-legal professionals at all levels, including senior leaders, to support the successful execution of proprietary mutual fund initiatives at the Firm + Interact with outside counsel to identify, evaluate, and resolve complex or unique legal questions and issues Edward Jones' compensation and benefits package includes medical and prescription drug, dental, vision, voluntary benefits (such as accident, hospital indemnity, and critical illness), short- and long-term disability, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage.
