POSITION SUMMARY
C.H. Robinson is seeking an Associate Gateway Agent to join our Ocean Gateway team. The Associate Gateway Agent is an entry level role where you will be responsible for managing and operating the shipment lifecycle for assigned consolidations. This position involves the preparation, distribution, and maintenance of documents across various geographical regions. You will gain valuable experience by managing and overseeing tasks related to each shipment, as well as handling daily communication, reporting, and email management. At C.H. Robinson, we’re firm believers in the power of in-person collaboration to fuel innovation and support training. In this role, you will engage with peers on-site 5 days a week, igniting creativity and driving impactful results. Upon successful completion of your training, you will then switch to 2-3 days a week in the office, working the rest of the time from home. This role strikes the perfect balance between teamwork and autonomy.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of this position consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
Become and serve as a subject matter expert for international shipping from time of purchase order issuance through the delivery of the cargo Initiate, prepare, process, and assemble all required documentation for LCL shipmentsEnsure documentation is accurately processed, distributed, and released to the carrier, customers, and agents in a timely mannerCreate, maintain, and update shipments in Navisphere, C.H. Robinson’s logistics platformEnsure a high level of data integrity on the master level of a consolidation including tracking routes, checking the status of electronic manifests (eManifests), understanding shipping terms (INCOterms), and managing necessary documents Clearly and promptly communicate with overseas offices, agents, customers, and outside vendors to ensure a smooth flow of shipmentsQUALIFICATIONS
Required:
High school diploma or GEDProficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programsPreferred:

Compensation Range
$18.80 - $29.28The base pay range displayed on the job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base pay for this specific location.
