We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Financial Reporting Analyst to join our corporate reporting team.
You are the key individual contributor responsible for the preparation and documentation of financial statements and financial information for use by Executive Management, Board of Directors, regulators, rating agencies, and our parent company.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to the preparation and documentation of TMHCC's reporting to its parent company.Compile and analyze financial information for Executive Management.Exercise initiative in explaining variances, unusual items, and key business trends.Utilize industry-leading innovative reporting and analytical tools to automate financial reports and ease report maintenance.Research accounting rules and regulations and make recommendations regarding the Company's accounting policies.Interact with TMHCC’s subsidiaries and corporate departments to gather information for consolidated reporting.Interact with external and internal auditors.Prepare special financial and business-related analyses and research.Contribute to the preparation and analysis of the annual budget and interim forecasts.Compile and prepare reports, graphs, and charts of data developed.Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent education/experience.Preferred: Master's degree in business administration or accounting.1-2 years of financial reporting experience either in public accounting or industry preferred.Preferred: Insurance industry experience.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel (including lookups, INDEX, MATCH, pivot tables).Strong communication skills with a focus on building relationships and working within a team.Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.Preferred: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or CPA track.
