The Field Service Engineer is responsible for after training and or certification, independently perform field service activities within guidelines and in compliance with internal & customer procedures and regulations. This position works independently to resolve all assigned customer and technical issues. You assist in mentoring and teaching less experienced staff members.
This position reports to the District Field Service Manager and is part of the Nordic field service team with engineers across Sweden, Finland, and Denmark and will be and will be fully remote position based in the greater Copenhagen.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Engage with a diverse range of customers in different industries across the Nordics with dynamic and flexible scheduling. Build and maintain positive customer relationships. Review solutions with customers; discuss needs and ensure instrument performance.
Install, repair, clean and qualify instruments using logical troubleshooting procedures in a timely manner. Conduct customer trainings after successful installation.
Maintain a field parts inventory, testing devices and tools.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Hands on experience with High-Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and Mass Spectrometry (MS) instruments or similar experience
A validated working knowledge of troubleshooting and problem-solving procedures
Fluency on a C1 level required in Danish and on B2 level in English as a working language.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
Willingness to travel – up to a minimum of 50% overnight travel per year.
Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
In a field service role servicing mass spectrometers or scientific instrumentations.
