An Equipment Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and safety of machinery and equipment used in pharmaceutical industry. This role involves planning and executing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and implementing improvements to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
What You Will Achieve
In this role, you will:
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on Upstream & Downstream areas: Solution Preparation, Fill Finish Lines Sterilization, Visual Inspection, Packaging and Microbiology equipment.Troubleshooting of minor technical issues & learning to handle Major technical issues: Fill Finish Lines, Solution preparation, Sterilization, Visual Inspection, Packaging and Microbiology equipment.Troubleshooting of minor technical issues & learning to handle Major technical issues: Sterilization, Visual Inspection, Packaging and Microbiology equipment.Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to improve system reliability and performance.Ensure compliance with safety standards, industry regulations, and quality protocols.Assist in the installation and commissioning of new instrumentation systems.Support validation and qualification activities for new and existing equipment.Identify, Implement and execute preventive maintenance request.Calibrate instruments such as pressure gauges, temperature sensors, flow meters, and analytical instruments.Work with PLCs, SCADA, and DCS systems used in pharmaceutical manufacturing.Support automation projects and upgrades.Knowledge of control system wirings, P&ID drawings.Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)
Qualification: Diploma or B. Tech in Instrumentation or Electronics Engineering.Experience: Diploma with 7-8 years industrial experience or B. Tech with 4-5 years industrial experience.
Basic understanding on Good Engineering PracticesFoundational understanding on EHS & GMP requirementsBasic expertise in Repair & MaintenanceKnowledge of Equipment QualificationFoundational communication abilitiesEffective collaboration and team contributionEfficient task management and responsibilityBonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)
Experience with backup & restore automation systems such as PLCs & SCADA Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi etc...Understanding of data integrity principles and ALCOA+ standards.Knowledge of risk-based maintenance and predictive maintenance tools.Experience in a regulated pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge of GMP, GAMP5, and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.Proficiency in interpreting P&IDs, loop diagrams, and equipment manuals.Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skillsWork Location Assignment: On Premise
