Associate Engineering Manager - Test Lab Operations

As the Associate Engineering Manager – Test Lab Operations, you will lead a dynamic test lab operations team that supports critical product engineering testing across our Medical business units that impacts patients worldwide.

This is a fully onsite role based in Portage, MI; candidates must live within commuting distance and be onsite 4–5 days per week.
**What you will do**
+ Lead and develop a team of supervisors, engineers, and coordinators to ensure efficient test lab operations
+ Oversee daily scheduling, resource planning, and execution of test activities aligned with business priorities
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast and allocate labor, equipment, and space
+ Drive production test engineering activities and support new product development testing
+ Ensure compliance with test lab procedures and regulatory standards
+ Manage test request administration, including documentation, approvals, and closure
+ Support long-term planning initiatives focused on innovation and operational excellence
+ Contribute to budget planning, cost tracking, and strategic direction of the test lab
**What you need**
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
+ Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in engineering, operations, or testing
+ Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and cross-functional collaboration
+ Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across levels
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience managing or leading technical teams
+ Experience in production engineering, operations, or test automation
+ Proven ability to coach and develop team members through performance management
+ Familiarity with the healthcare industry and regulatory environment
