We are looking for an Associate Editor to join us in London.
Associate Editors work in conjunction with more experienced colleagues to interpret and explain legal, practice and market developments to our customers through online content.
About the Role
As an Associate Editor, your responsibilities will include:
Monitoring and identifying developments to cover in the Practical Law current awareness product offering.
With support and supervision from colleagues drafting new content for online publication.
Conducting research projects and presenting results with proper analysis and in a succinct manner.
With support and supervision from colleagues, maintaining content to ensure that it is up-to-date and reflects current legal and market practice, and is of the quality and scope that meets business objectives and customer needs.
With support and supervision from colleagues, responding to queries from customers and providing support to others to ensure that questions are answered and published appropriately.
Providing support to the Practical Law editorial teams.
About You
To be considered for the role of an Associate Editor, you will have:
Excellent writing and communication skills.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Able to work to deadlines and able to prioritize and manage own workload.
Able to assimilate and apply new complex information.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Excellent attention to detail.
Comfortable with technology and able to adapt to new technology quickly
Preferred skills and experience:
Previous experience working in a Legal/Publishing environment, using technology to create and disseminate online content.
Undergraduate UK Law Degree; or
Undergraduate Degree in a subject other than Law and Post Graduate Diploma in Law (or equivalent).
