Job Description

We are seeking an innovative and visionary Associate Director - Urban Designer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this leadership role, you will spearhead urban design projects, guide multidisciplinary teams, and shape the future of our cities through sustainable and smart urban development strategies.

Lead and manage urban design projects from concept to implementation, ensuring high-quality outcomes that meet client needs and regulatory requirementsDevelop and present innovative urban design solutions that address complex urban challenges and enhance the quality of life in citiesCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, planners, engineers, and environmental specialists to create integrated design solutionsOversee the production of master plans, design guidelines, and detailed urban design schemesManage client relationships and participate in business development activities to secure new projectsMentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of creativity and excellenceStay current with emerging trends and best practices in urban design, sustainable development, and smart city technologiesRepresent the company at industry events, conferences, and stakeholder meetings

QualificationsMaster's degree in Urban Design, Urban Planning, or Architecture20+ years of experience in urban design and planning, with a proven track record of successful project deliveryProficiency in urban design software, including AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and GISStrong 3D modeling and visualization skillsExcellent project management abilities, including team leadership and client managementOutstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex design concepts to diverse audiencesExperience in sustainable urban development, smart city concepts, public space design, and transportation planningProfessional certification in urban planning or design (e.g., AICP, CNU-A) is preferredDemonstrated ability to work effectively in a multicultural environmentWillingness to travel within Saudi Arabia and internationally as required
