Job Description

We are seeking a visionary and innovative Associate Director - Urban Designer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this leadership role, you will be at the forefront of shaping the future of urban landscapes in one of the most dynamic regions in the world. As an integral part of our organization, you will lead and inspire a team of talented designers while collaborating with stakeholders to create sustainable, smart, and culturally sensitive urban environments.

Lead and manage complex urban design projects from concept to completionDevelop and present innovative urban design strategies and master plansCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, and environmental specialistsMentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of creativity and excellenceEngage with clients, government officials, and community stakeholders to ensure project successIntegrate sustainable design principles and smart city concepts into urban planning initiativesOversee project budgets, timelines, and resource allocationStay current with emerging trends and technologies in urban design and planningContribute to business development efforts and proposal writingEnsure compliance with local regulations and international best practices in urban design

QualificationsMaster's degree in Urban Design, Architecture, or a related fieldProfessional certification in urban planning or design (e.g., AICP, CNU-A)15+ years of experience in urban design or a related fieldProven track record of leading large-scale urban development projectsProficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and GIS softwareStrong project management and team leadership skillsExcellent communication and presentation abilitiesExperience with sustainable urban development and smart city conceptsKnowledge of Middle Eastern urban planning and cultural contextInternational project experience preferredAbility to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multicultural environmentInnovative problem-solving skills and attention to detailWillingness to travel as required for project site visits and client meetings
