Associate Director of Software Engineering

**_This position follows our hybrid workstyle policy: Expected to be in a Raymond James office location a minimum of 10-12 days a month._**

**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Build and lead a software engineering team focused on designing, developing, and maintaining a modern recruiting portal.
+ Contribute to, and advance, the architecture and technology stack in alignment with business goals and scalability needs.
+ Collaborate with product, design, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
+ Establish engineering best practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews, and agile methodologies.
+ Ensure high availability, performance, and security of the recruiting platform.
+ Mentor and develop engineering talent, fostering a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement.
+ Manage project timelines, budgets, and vendor relationships as needed.
**Qualifications:**
+ 8+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
+ Proven experience building and scaling web applications or platforms.
+ Strong understanding of modern front-end and back-end technologies (e.g., Angular/React, Java, Oracle, cloud platforms).
+ Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and DevOps practices.
+ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
**Preferred Skills:**
+ Experience in the Financial Services industry.
+ Previous experience in solution architecture.
+ Familiarity with data privacy and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
+ Familiarity with web accessibility standards (WCAG).
+ Background in building user-centric platforms with strong UX/UI principles
