Associate Director of Operations
Description We are looking for an experienced Associate Director of Operations to oversee warehouse management and delivery logistics in Livonia, Michigan. In this role, you will ensure smooth and efficient operations across inventory control, fleet management, and team leadership to support overall business goals. This position offers the opportunity to lead key functions and drive continuous improvement within a dynamic environment. Responsibilities: • Direct and manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping activities. • Oversee delivery fleet scheduling, routing, and dispatch to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries. • Supervise and mentor warehouse supervisors and delivery managers, fostering a culture of accountability and attention to detail. • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and productivity in warehouse and delivery operations. • Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts, audits, and reconciliations, while minimizing shrinkage and obsolescence. • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices across all operations. • Collaborate with procurement, sales, and customer service teams to align supply chain and delivery functions with business objectives. • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, inventory turnover, and delivery timeliness. • Utilize warehouse management systems and fleet tracking software to streamline operations and optimize performance. • Prepare and present detailed operational performance reports to the Director of Operations. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. • At least 6 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or delivery operations, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role. • Demonstrated expertise in managing warehouse teams and delivery fleets in a fast-paced environment across multiple locations. • Strong understanding of warehouse management systems, inventory control, and delivery logistics. • Proven ability to lead teams, implement process improvements, and manage operational changes effectively. • Familiarity with safety and compliance regulations relevant to warehouse and delivery operations. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software tools. • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
