Associate Director of Events - Hyatt Regency Beijing Wangjing

• Assist in the development of marketing strategies and the implementation of the annual banquet sales plan; optimize departmental workflows and service standards; establish banquet sales policies and procedures in line with international five-star hotel standards.

• Support the execution and achievement of the hotel's sales strategies, objectives, and action plans to ensure annual sales targets are met.

• Conduct extensive market and competitor research to stay informed of industry trends and market intelligence.

• Take full responsibility for the development, negotiation, and end-to-end booking process of banquet events, meetings, exhibitions, catering delivery services, and other event-related business opportunities.

• Actively expand business opportunities across various customer segments and domestic/international MICE markets; maintain close partnerships with major meeting and event platforms.

• Work closely with other hotel departments, particularly Food Beverage, Culinary, and Front Office teams; participate in banquet menu planning and pricing strategies to balance client budgets with hotel profitability.

• Organize, assign, and supervise the daily work of team members; conduct regular performance evaluations and professional training programs (e.g., client communication, crisis management); assist team members in handling challenging situations and continuously improve service standards.

• Attend hotel management meetings and ensure effective communication and implementation of management directives.

• Demonstrate proficiency in banquet reservation systems and sales reporting systems.

• Establish and maintain customer databases, including banquet orders, contracts, and historical records; leverage customer relationship management and market analysis to optimize sales strategies and increase customer retention and repeat business.

• Strong leadership, decision-making, judgment, interpersonal communication, coordination, planning, and execution skills.

• Candidates with experience working with embassy and chamber of commerce clients, as well as catering delivery business experience, will be highly preferred.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position within an international five-star hotel, with established industry contacts and market resources.

• Chinese mother-tough, excellent command of spoken and written English.
