Associate Director - Finance Department

RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure timely and accurate accounting and reports in accordance with IQVIA Finance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Sarbanes Oxley rules as well as local GAAP and tax rules for the department or division.Manage staff in accordance with organization’s policies and applicable legislation. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance and guiding professional development; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing employee relations issues and resolving problems. Approve actions on human resources matters, including salary administration.Appropriately handle personnel issues, conflict management, define goals that increase knowledge and skills of staff, and define staff expectations, consulting and taking advice where necessary.Ensure compliance with established financial processes, US and local compliance requirements, statutory government reporting, procedures and controls; financial reporting and review of revenue, expenditures, asset management, tax, management reporting and administration.Ensure the accuracy of financial statements and the adherence to corporate reporting timetables.Manage the full work scope throughout RDS legal entities in four countries.Ensure all financial and accounting records are thoroughly maintained and complete in preparation for independent audits.Direct the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property, operating expenses, and insurance records.Introduce and lead changes in internal business process and serve as an expert resource to internal and external management at all levels.Coordinate the preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting.Preparation of and delivery of month end processes ensuring timely and accurate reporting.Provide support for department heads including business analysis and forecastingFinancial, trend, and variance analysis to support decision making and respond to inquiries from corporate and the business.Reporting (formal month end summaries, month-end & quarterly reports, as well as numerous ad hoc reports).Working with operations to understand budgeting needs and forecasting results, including uploading of estimates.Maintain a detailed understanding of internal customer requirements and develop processes that will meet or exceed these requirements.Support in managing the P&L for multiple groups.Cost analysis to ensure correct and accurate reporting.Accounting support, as necessary on technical issues.Prepare and distribute management reporting information to finance and operational groups.Planning and delivery of the forecasting and budgeting process for certain operational groups.Working with various operational groups in analyzing and interpreting financial results providing the means to effectively manage the business.Monthly payroll review and execution.Tax compliance with laws & Regulations.Transfer Pricing local file review and submission.Ensure effective processing for the daily work activities throughout (banks, receivables, collections, payables, fixed assets, expenses & revenues).Monthly and yearend closing procedures.Manages the requirements for the external auditing, taxation, and legal firms.Review the company contracts with the legal internal/external Teams to be in accordance with the company policy and adopted laws and regulations.Carry out General Assembly Meeting and board of directors process.Follow up implementing audit recommendations.Review adopted policies and procedures, amend if any and implement new ones according to work processes.  Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree

• 10 years’ experience in accounting.

• Previous line management experience

• Equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

• Strong knowledge of Egypt and Lebanon markets is a must and UAE and KSA knowledge is preferable

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

• Strong analytical and numeracy skills.

• Ability to identify financial issues, develop and execute mitigating actions.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to influence others.

• Management of others.

• Ability to manage conflicting priorities.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and clients.

• CPA  - Certified Public Accountant CPA qualified (or equivalent)
