We are seeking a Strategic, Accountable and Results-Oriented CFO to provide financial leadership, foster operational excellence, and leverage cutting-edge technologies like AI.

About the Role

As the Cluster CFO, you will directly report to Italy Hub CFO and oversee the affiliate’s financial operations, leading a high-performing finance team—including Financial Planning, Supply Chain, General Accounting and P2P, closely collaborating with a variety of regional and external stakeholders. You will be a key driver of accountability and ownership, translating strategic imperatives into clear operational goals, ensuring financial rigor, and supporting sustainable growth.

Your role will involve providing financial insights and guidance to the business, managing expenses, forecasting, and leading key financial reviews. You will also foster a culture of operational excellence, ensuring that strategic financial decisions are implemented with precision and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic partner to Cluster GM: Understand the core business, propose and implement strategies to support rapid revenue growth.

Business Support & Financial Consultancy: Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial expertise, analysis, and recommendations. Prepare and present key financial reports to senior management. Understand market data, source of business, competitors for existing or future portfolio.

Leadership and collaboration in Change Management: Directly manage the local finance team (covering all critical financial workstreams including Supply Chain, Financial Planning GA/P2P) through periods of change and growth, adopting technological automations/innovations like AI to improve efficiency and financial oversight.

Operational Accountability: Lead financial management activities, including expense control, forecasting, and budget consolidation. Ensure high ownership of financial performance and manage monthly finance review presentations.

Translate Strategy to Operations: Convert high-level strategic goals into clear, actionable operational plans that drive financial success across the affiliate.

Results Orientation: Establish and track performance metrics to ensure that financial goals are met and exceeded, promoting a culture of accountability.

Internal Control & Compliance: Ensure compliance with local and US GAAP statutory accounting standards, maintaining accurate and transparent financial records. Implement and enforce corporate financial policies, ensure adherence to local SOPs, and participate in month-end/year-end financial closing processes

External Stakeholder Engagement & Procurement: Serve as the point of contact for regulatory authorities (tax, statutory), oversee key procurement processes, including vendor management and contract negotiations and engage with external stakeholders like Distributors, Pharmacy Chains, Movianto, etc.  

Distributor Relationship Management: Actively participate in negotiations with distributors, including defining commercial conditions, special commercial programs and managing tenders. Ensure alignment with corporate financial policies while securing favorable agreements for the affiliate.

Operational Support: Provide office-related support, manage relationships with outsourced accounting partners, and assist in local operational matters.

Strong Financial Expertise: Deep knowledge of financial analysis, business planning, forecasting, procurement, and compliance.

Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and maintain high performance in a rapidly changing environment.

Fluency in Business English: Excellent written and oral communication skills, other local language skills are an asset.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred

5 to 8 years’ experience in a finance management role, ideally within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.

Proven ability to translate strategic imperatives into operational success.

Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Supply Chain, GA, and shared service centers.

Demonstrated success in leading financial planning, analysis, and procurement processes.

Familiarity with AI, automation, and other technological advancements in finance operations.

Strong sense of accountability, ownership, and results orientation, with a track record of achieving financial objectives.

Exceptional organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
