Principal Responsibilities
In this role you will
Lead the team on the implementation of Retail Data Modelling (aka RDM 2.0) for Wealth and Personal Banking Risk (WPB Risk) portfolios for HBAP Hong Kong Market, and the migration of existing data into the new systems with completeness and accuracy within the agreed Service level agreementWork closely with WPB system and data team, and WPB Risk data analytics, Transformation, and WPB Risk business teams on the delivery of the end to end reports or data extract which is created based on the Technology data provisioningLead by example, delivering solutions at high cadence for the build out of both new functionality and the replacement of legacy systems whilst also supporting other teams to achieve the sameWork closely and liaise with other Technology teams as upstream of downstream of RDM, and make design and or technology decisionAssist and support senior leaders in WPB Risk business and WPB risk IT to understand impacts and make key design decisions by providing facts and details on system and approach (such as data sourcing / process choices)Work to release change to production every day, owning requirements through discussions with the business through to development, testing, release to and support of productionPromote engineering excellence and the development of a strong engineering culture across our teams – influencing behaviours and removing barriers within the teams, across Technology Teams and GAC (Global Analytic Centre)Some careers shine brighter than others.

University graduate degree in computer science, information technology or related disciplineExperience of working with multiple work streams in Risk and Finance area under the retail areaHands on experience on data on HSBC systems, and high level of understanding of system behaviour and domain knowledge in WPB and WPB Risk sectors in Hong Kong and other Asia Pacific markets, such as HUB, Whirl, HCC, OBS, AAPSProven experience and knowledge on WPB data flow, and impact and relationship with Risk system and Finance system in both HSBC and HASE. Preferably with experience on existing system RPM (Retail Portfolio Management). Familiar with retail products (loans, mortgages, overdraft) and Risk/finance business terms. Be able to compare and relate features / details between existing and new systems to senior stakeholdersAbility to handle multiple priorities concurrently, work under tight timelines and think analytically. Strong skills to lead teams and motivate others to achieve objectivesExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written, ability to document and communicate progress against plans, taking corrective action as necessary, and an ability to interact professionally with an array of business usersHigh levels of self-motivation – able to self-manage and deliver to committed timescaleStrong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills for discussion facilitation and consensus buildingOpening up a world of opportunity
