Associate Director, Tax Reporting

Job Description

What is the opportunity?

In this role you will work with multiple investment fund clients, internal groups and third parties. You will be responsible for Tax Reporting for funds structured as Trusts, Corporations, Segregated Funds and LPs and conduct full tax services provided for investment funds including distribution, income and gain/loss allocation, information for unitholder tax reporting, Tax Returns, PFIC.

           

What will you do?

Lead tax regulatory changes internally and with clients.Planning tax reporting activities by establishing tasks, objectives and priorities internally and with clientsWork with clients regarding fund events impacting tax reporting requirementsParticipate in current and prospective client meetings for tax reportingReview complex distribution calculations and tax returns as part of oversightOversight of Tax Service provider in regards to oversight of deliverables and deadlines

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

CPA or Equivalent3+ years of related tax reporting experience in the investment fund industry or public accounting preferably in the financial services industry Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Nice-to-have

CICA In-Depth Tax CourseIndustry related courses
