Principal responsibilities

Lead research of new technologies and drive their adoption to stay abreast of industry trends and standardsContribute to architecture by asking the right questions to ensure architecture matches business needsCommunicate with code, can identify a problem or an opportunity and then engineers a solutionLead the creation, continual refinement, and active enforcement of HSBC’s development standards in order to ensure that technology can be leveraged as a sustainable competitive advantageDemonstrate mastery of technical discipline – and explain technology well to business people or senior managers such that they buy into a technology directionCollaborates across functional areas to define, prioritize and ensure implementation of specific innovations to improve technical functionality in support of business needs, efficiencies and revenue
