Principal responsibilities
- Architectural Leadership:
Design and define the architectural roadmap for the Digital Business Banking platform, ensuring scalability, security, and high performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and stakeholders, to align architecture with business goals.
Advocate and implement microservices-based architecture leveraging Java and Spring Boot frameworks.
- Development and Coding:
Actively participate in coding, design reviews, and solution implementation for critical components.
Build and maintain highly efficient, reusable, and reliable code in Java with strong adherence to coding standards.
- DevOps and CI/CD:
Drive the implementation of DevOps practices across teams, ensuring efficient CI/CD pipelines.
Collaborate with operations teams to build, deploy, and manage infrastructure as code using modern DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes).
Establish robust monitoring and alerting mechanisms to ensure platform reliability.
- Cloud and GCP Expertise:
Architect cloud-native solutions leveraging GCP services such as GKE, Cloud Functions, BigQuery, and Pub/Sub.
Guide teams in adopting GCP best practices for deployment, cost optimization, and security.
- Technical Strategy and Innovation:
Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks to drive innovation and maintain competitive advantages.
Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and thought leadership to engineering teams.
- Quality Assurance:
Ensure comprehensive testing strategies are integrated into the development lifecycle.
Promote secure coding practices and ensure compliance with banking security standards.
- Collaboration and Communication:
Act as the technical point of contact for stakeholders, clearly communicating architecture decisions, trade-offs, and recommendations.
Drive collaboration across distributed teams in agile environments.
