What is the opportunity?

The Project Manager will support the delivery of complex technology and business change initiatives within the Capital Markets division of a top-tier global bank. Operating within an Agile framework, the PM will coordinate sprint activities, manage delivery timelines, and ensure strict oversight of project financials. The role requires a strong grasp of capital markets functions, stakeholder dynamics, and disciplined financial governance. Looking for someone who is pro-active and willing to dig into the details.

What will you do?

Support delivering front-to-back solutions in trading and pricing for Front office FX and rates.Collaborate with Product Owners and Dev leads to ensure sprint goals align with regulatory and business priorities.Proactively identify risks, issues, and dependencies across squads and escalate as needed.Assist with budget preparation, financial forecasting, and headcount/resource tracking across the book of work.Maintain accurate project financials: actuals, accruals, committed spend, and variances.Ensure all project spend adheres to internal controls, governance frameworks, and audit readiness standards.Maintain standardized project artifacts (charters, risk logs, RAID items, change requests).Prepare executive-level reporting on delivery health, financial status, and resource utilization.Support governance forums, steering committees, and stakeholder presentations.Build strong working relationships with Technology, Front Office, Risk, Finance, and Compliance stakeholders.Act as a coordination point across geographically dispersed teams.Help lead team call and be engaged with the delivery processIn this role, you will communicate and interact frequently with RBC partners and/or employees located across Canada and/or worldwide

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Technology, Business, or a related field.2–5 years of experience in project management, PMO, or business analysis within Capital Markets or Financial Services.Proficiency in project and financial tools (Jira, Confluence, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).Strong written and verbal communication, especially with executive stakeholders.

Nice to Have:

Solid understanding of capital markets business domains: trading, risk, clearing, or market data.
