**Purpose:** The Associate Director Market Research, PAH position is responsible for leading the integration and execution of market research to generate new business insights and uncover growth opportunities for the PAH Portfolio. This position, primarily supporting OPSUMIT, OPSYNVI and UPTRAVI, will serve as an internal consultant to marketing and sales, and business partners: delivering business building recommendations, shaping decision-making, and driving organizational action.
The position plays a key role in guiding the commercial team in the development and evaluation of new and existing business strategies and tactics and as a result, shares accountability for business results.
This individual must have outstanding leadership skills, a consistent track record to lead collaboration across teams, inspire without authority, and encourage sensible risk-taking. They will have the tenacity and fortitude to pursue novel solutions that address the needs of patients. They will be personally accountable for making Johnson & Johnson Credo-based decisions and encouraging a Credo-based culture.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Serve as the Market Research point for the PAH marketing team
+ Identify, craft and complete market research which inform commercial strategy and tactics
+ Leverage disparate insight sources to address key business questions, uncover opportunities, evaluate performance, and assess impact of marketing and sales tactics
+ Develop insights that lead to actionable recommendations which influence business partner decision making at all levels
+ Provide strategic input to help shape strategic and business plans, brand strategies and new indication launch plans and life cycle management
+ Find opportunities to embed partner capabilities (Analytics, Access Insights, Patient Engagement, etc.) to drive impact for brand and organizational efficiency
+ Demonstrate leadership courage to set boundaries and ensure time is spent on the most critical/high value projects
+ Oversee competitive intelligence for the PAH portfolio

**Qualifications / Requirements:**
**Education:**
+ Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required, advanced degree preferred
**Experience and Skills**
**Required:**
+ At least seven (7) years of relevant business experience
+ Demonstrated ability to answer business questions through market research insights to form relevant recommendations
+ Strength in storytelling, data visualization, and developing effective presentations
+ Knowledge across a broad spectrum of market research approaches and ability to identify appropriate approach to address business questions
+ Demonstrated success solving business problems and generating meaningful insights and recommendations
**Preferred:**
+ Familiarity with different types of market research relevant to pharma
+ Proven success partnering across the commercial organization to integrate insights then translate into actionable recommendations
+ Experience in developing comprehensive and impactful recommendations that shape go-to-market strategy for launch brands
+ Demonstrated ability to identify and define the problem with a focused approach to solving
+ High degree of intellectual curiosity
+ Strong learning agility and proven success solving ambiguous business issues
+ PAH therapeutic area experience preferred but not required.
**Other:** This position is based in Titusville, NJ and will require up to 10% domestic travel
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $120,000 to $207,000.
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance.
