We are looking for an Associate Director, Manufacturing Engineering Operations to lead an engineering team of 100 engineers across the Cedar Rapids manufacturing site in Mission Systems (MiS).

This role will be performed ONSITE in our Collins Aerospace location in Cedar Rapids, IA.

What You Will Do

Set teams objectives for product/process improvements, capacity planning, and guides team on execution/approach for achievement of resultsCoach and develop engineering leaders across the site to enable all engineers to develop their skillsetsLeads the development of operating budgets to maximize cost effectiveness and ensure standards are met (including roadmap on Advanced Manufacturing) Technology).Leads equipment upgrade initiatives, including investments in equipment, systems, or other assets, in order to improve the organization’s production capabilities.Lead the implementation of changes based on the analysis of industry trends and developments in engineering technology (examples: automation for sub-assembly, automated inspections)Leads the most complex, large, or difficult process engineering projects and develops innovative approaches to production problems.Collaborate with MiS Operations Strategy team to implement "big rock" initiatives, as well as determine site competencies to drive successful work transfers for C4IA businessTravel domestic once a quarter as business needs

What You Will Learn

Will work closely with Program and engineering teams on New Product IntroductionOpportunity to work and network across Mission Systems sites and businesses

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experiencePrevious experience leading in electronics manufacturing; low rate/high mix environmentLean manufacturing experience with demonstrated results

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
