What is the opportunity?
The Associate Director, Global Markets Financial Advisory, plays an integral part in the organization by providing support, development, and analysis for RBC Capital Markets through business advisory, financial planning and analysis.
As part of the RBC Capital Markets Performance Management team, this role contributes to the continued success of the Global Markets business, with a focus on Macro Products (Flow Rates, Structured Rates, FX, Commodities, Futures) through management of financial reporting, forecasting and enabling insights to drive performance.
What you will do?
Support senior business leaders with financial insights including reviewing financial results, analyzing new initiatives or businesses, and assessing financial impacts of business strategies and gain market insightsProduce thorough, accurate and timely management reports of desk performance including analysis of revenues and expensesPresent monthly financial results & analysis to key desks across Macro Products (Rates, FX, Commodities) and enable data driven discussionsSupport the annual budgeting process including analysis and review of financial information and its impact on the businessAnalyzing and interpreting financial information for planning and control purposesWork collaboratively with business management team to support creation of the Annual budget, monthly forecast, and 5-year strategic reviewProvide the business with historical financial data and analysis, and help the business to vet potential scenarios, adding financial advisory inputMeet monthly with business heads / business management to review financial results, gain market insights on performance drivers, and help business to flush out forecast updates based on expected future performance.What do you need to succeed?
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required5+ years recent relevant experienceExposure to Capital Markets products and businessesExperience with Financial Statements orientation and comprehension; Financial Planning & AnalysisPrevious Senior Management engagement and communicationRevenue/ expense recognition, balance sheet impact and reporting considerations experienceStrong computer skills in organizing/analyzing data (advanced MS Excel preferred)Knowledge and experience using analytical tools and managing large datasetsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Job Skills
