Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Associate Director, Clinical FSP to lead and manage clinical staff across multiple functions. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring resource optimization, and aligning team goals with broader organizational objectives. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement in clinical operations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the hiring, onboarding, and training of clinical staff, ensuring readiness and alignment with project needs.Manage team performance through effective planning, delegation, coaching, and performance evaluation in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards.Allocate clinical resources strategically across projects based on staff expertise and study requirements.Oversee the quality of clinical deliverables through regular review, feedback collection, and performance monitoring.Identify quality risks and implement corrective action plans to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.Monitor workload, quality, and budget metrics to ensure operational efficiency and alignment with organizational goals.Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to resolve project challenges and deliver exceptional client service.Support innovation and process improvement initiatives, including the adoption of new technologies and systems.Serve as a client liaison for governance, escalations, and relationship management as needed.Mentor and support the development of team members and, where applicable, other managers.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or a related field (advanced degree preferred).Minimum 12 years of experience in clinical operations, with at least 6 years in a managerial or leadership role.Proven leadership experience in clinical operations is required.Strong understanding of GCP, ICH guidelines, and regulatory requirements.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and team development.IQVIA is a leading global provider of clinical research services, commercial insights and healthcare intelligence to the life sciences and healthcare industries.
