Within MSHS, the Business and Strategic Planning Team develops the strategy and drives key initiatives and supports planning across clinical service data analytics, and business functions.

**Role Summary:**
Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) seeks an Associate Director to serve as a core member of an internal consulting team that supports senior leadership in shaping and executing enterprise-level clinical, operational, and financial strategies. This position is designed for someone who combines deep health system expertise with analytical rigor, and communication precision.
Acting as a trusted advisor to senior and clinical leaders, the Associate Director will lead high-stakes, high-complexity projects that span market planning for clinical programs across our hospitals, ambulatory footprint and communities served. The role requires advanced data fluency, with an ability to independently develop and interpret complex quantitative and qualitative analyses, and to distill findings into concise, visually compelling PowerPoint presentations and strategic deliverables. A key expectation of the role is the ability to synthesize ambiguous or unstructured problems into actionable insights and recommendations, tailored for leadership audiences.
In addition to delivering analytic excellence, the Associate Director is expected to be a highly effective collaborator and communicator. This role requires frequent engagement with senior stakeholders from across the health system, navigating multiple priorities and driving alignment across teams. Success in this role demands not only subject matter fluency in healthcare delivery, operations, and finances, but also an ongoing awareness of market trends, emerging technologies, regulatory shifts, and payer dynamics that influence Mount Sinai’s strategic positioning.

**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in business, public health, or related field strongly preferred.
+ Minimum 7 years of experience in healthcare strategy, consulting, business development, or a similarly analytical, high-impact field.
+ Prior experience in healthcare delivery systems, payers, or health tech is strongly preferred.
+ Demonstrated experience in independently managing complex projects or workstreams.

**Compensation Statement**
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $115,494.00 - $173,241.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

**Responsibilities**
**Project Management**
+ Independently manage key strategic and operational initiatives from scoping to execution.
+ Coordinate across stakeholders to keep initiatives on track and ensure alignment with system goals.
+ Prepare feasibility studies, business cases, and implementation plans for new business and clinical programs.
+ Facilitate meetings and maintain clear documentation of processes and project progress.
+ Anticipate challenges and develop proactive solutions in collaboration with senior leadership.
**Data and Analytics**
+ Demonstrate familiarity with standard health care data sources
+ Demonstrate proficiency in Excel and Tableau

+ Perform demand/supply modeling, demographic analysis, and performance benchmarking.

+ Work closely with analytics teams and subject matter experts to ensure rigor and accuracy in all data-related work.

+ Develop compelling, presentation-ready slides and documents for senior and executive audiences.

+ Support the preparation of updates for governance bodies and internal decision-making groups.
