Overview
The Associate Director of Annual Giving is responsible for leading efforts in the acquisition and outreach for annual giving programs, focusing on increasing donor participation, revenue, and engagement. This role will oversee a diverse set of initiatives, including crowdfunding campaigns, Giving Day, and texting-to-give programs, all while managing a portfolio of donors (TBD). The Associate Director will also lead the student giving and calling program and work closely with the Senior Director of Annual Giving to strategize and implement campaigns targeting young alumni. Additionally, the Associate Director will manage the Annual Giving Coordinator, ensuring effective support for the department’s efforts.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required.Minimum of 3-5 three to five years of experience in annual giving, fundraising, or a related field preferably in higher education.Experience with portfolio management and donor stewardship.Previous experience managing staff or team members is preferred.Proven ability to plan, execute, and evaluate fundraising campaigns.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
Proficiency in fundraising software and CRM tools.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of annual giving best practices and trends in digital fundraising.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.Strong leadership skills and a team-oriented, collaborative mindset, who can work well with colleagues across departments.Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive.Results-driven with a focus on continuous improvement.Collaborative and able to work well with colleagues across departments.
A passion for higher education and philanthropic engagement.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.Proficiency in fundraising software and CRM tools.
Working Location
This is a hybrid position in Salem, MA with some on-campus, in-person responsibilities, which may require occasional/frequent/regular work on evenings and weekends.
