Our team is looking for an Associate DevOps Engineer who can work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. In this position, as a member of a talented Agile engineering team supporting the development of critical mission applications for the space community, you will be a member of Parsons’ Space Operations directorate. You will work with software engineers providing DevOps support, packaging and deployment software applications.
This position is in Colorado Springs and requires working in the office two days a week.
Duties and Responsibilities
Work with application development engineers to identify artifacts for release and package them for deployment to test and production environmentsDetermines root cause of multi-faceted deployment issues.Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriateDocumenting DevOps processesRequired Skills
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or four years of experience supporting DevOps activities in a government environmentExperience using Docker containers for development and deploymentExperience with DevOps concepts and using CI/CD pipeline technologiesExperience with Jira, GitLab, Confluence and SharePointExcellent interpersonal and communications skills (both spoken and written English), while establishing and maintaining effective work relationships with team membersMust be comfortable working in a fast-paced, flexible environment, and take the initiative to learn new tools and concepts quickly.Familiarity with ArgoCDExperience working in an Agile software development environment using the Scrum methodologyMust be a US Citizen due to DoD contractMust have an active Secret clearanceDesired Skills
Experience deploying software to DoD classified systems & networksExperience with full stack developmentExperience with Space Domain Awareness (SDA) and related space operationsSecurity+ CertificationExisting TS security clearance with DCID eligibilitySecurity Clearance Requirement:
