Position Specific Description

Position will focus on data science and data analytics efforts for the Strategy and Analytics team within Revenue Management.
 
The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in the following: End-to-end development of complex AI models, including developing, implementing, and maintaining AI-based prediction models to improve business performance Ability to transform large data sets from multiple sources using SQL or other database querying methods Conducting data analysis supporting key business unit initiatives Proficient in data science, analytics, and data investigation using SQL or other database program languages to obtain actionable insights Proficient in Python, R, SAS, or other analytics tools Expert in MS Excel Developing cloud-based dashboards Providing data mining support and ad hoc analyses Developing informative and actionable reporting that highlights relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement Supporting special strategic operations related to collection activities Designing, implementing, and monitoring processes and system changes related to the evolving business need Working with cross-functional teams of Subject Matter Experts (SME)    Position is based in Miami, Florida.

Job Overview

This position is responsible for developing algorithms, modeling techniques, and optimization methods that support many aspects of NextEra and FPL business. Employees in this role use knowledge of machine learning, optimization, statistics, and applied mathematics along with abilities in software engineering with a focus on distributed computing and data storage infrastructure (i.e., “Big Data”).
