Location: Hannibal, MO
Department: Outpatient Behavioral Health
Employment Type: Full-time
Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.

As an Associate Counselor, you'll assist individuals in accordance with their treatment plans under the close supervision of a Qualified Addiction Professional. Key Responsibilities:

Participate in screening/assessment processes under supervision

Develop individualized treatment plans

Complete timely correspondence and documentation

Attend clinical staffing/team meetings

Meet weekly Collaborative Service Goal (CSG) expectations

Ensure documentation aligns with treatment plans and standards

Facilitate group and individual counseling sessions

Assist clients through transitions and discharge processes

Maintain professional relationships and adhere to ethical standards

Handle crisis situations appropriately

Complete annual training per ASAM standards

Perform other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

Missouri Requirements:

Associate’s degree or high school diploma/equivalent required

Must meet trainee registration and supervision requirements per Missouri Credentialing Board or relevant professional board

Supervision by a Qualified Addiction Professional who has completed MCB Clinical Supervision Training

Illinois Requirements:

Must obtain CADC within 2 years and renew as required

Must meet trainee registration and supervision requirements per Illinois credentialing board

Additional Requirements:

Willingness to become credentialed in additional states

Comfortable providing telehealth services

Additional Qualifications:

Basic knowledge of case management and rehabilitation methods

Understanding of therapeutic theories and techniques

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Ability to conduct individual and group interventions

Familiarity with behavioral science principles and counseling techniques
