We are looking for a licensed attorney that can provide substantive legal services for the Neurological Institute including clinical trial agreements, research collaboration agreements, maintain positive confidential client contacts, consulting and communications, and work independently or with supervision from other senior attorneys.

A caregiver in this position works remotely out of Ohio, Florida, or Nevada, Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm. 

 

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

Maintain expertise and advise appropriate department members regarding legal developments within areas of expertise. 

Actively seek out opportunities to maintain compliance within those areas of the law. 

Provide timely responses to requests for legal advice for assigned area. 

Identify and implement measures to bring effective legal services to the organization. 

Collaborate and provide leadership on projects and teams within the Law Department and the organization. 

 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

Juris Doctor (JD) from ABA accredited law school. 

Good standing of the Ohio bar or ability to become a member of the Ohio bar within a reasonable period. 

Two to five years of attorney and/or comparable direct experience in legal specialty (legal specialty being clinical/medical research). 

Working knowledge of sponsored research, clinical trial, master clinical trial agreements and other research related legal issues relative to negotiating research contracts and other related contracts in a non-profit academic medical center.  

 

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

 

Experience negotiating and reviewing Clinical Trial Agreements, Investigator Initiated Study Agreements, Collaboration Agreements, Data Use Agreements and other research agreements as well as related regulatory issues is strongly preferred. 

 

Experience with research compliance, research misconduct, Institutional Review Boards and/or foreign data privacy issues (e.g., GDPR) would be beneficial.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.

Ability to travel throughout the hospital system.

Ability to operate a computer, audio visual and other office equipment.         

Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information, including the ability to deliver training in person and virtually.
