Amazon’s Legal Department is looking for a talented commercial lawyer to support Amazon Web Services (AWS), a dynamic and rapidly growing business within Amazon.com. AWS is at the forefront of the cloud computing and service industry providing IT services such as on-demand compute capacity, storage, content delivery, database, machine learning and more.

Key job responsibilities
This Associate Corporate Counsel will be based in Seoul, Korea and primarily support AWS's Sales and Marketing teams in Korea and the broader Asia-Pacific region. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting, negotiating, and advising on cloud IT service agreements with a broad range of customers from startups to enterprises as well as our partner IT companies, will support local and regional marketing, training and digital transformation consulting activities, and will act as a counselor for senior management and other business team members. The role includes participating in other Amazon legal projects as directed, managing legal issues that arise in existing commercial relationships, and managing complex regulatory issues.

The successful candidate will be proactive, entrepreneurial, enjoy being challenged, have strong written and oral communication skills, and demonstrate sound, pragmatic judgment in ambiguous situations. Compensation will be based on experience and includes equity compensation.
