Seeking an Associate Construction Accountant in the Eagan Area!!
Job Description
As an Associate Construction Accountant, you will handle general accounting tasks including data entry, payroll reporting, accounts payable and receivable, as well as supporting other team members with various accounting tasks. You will also assist in preparing financial and general reports.
Responsibilities
+ Perform general accounts payable duties, including receiving, coding, and entering invoices for payment.
+ Manage accounts receivable by coding and entering receivables.
+ Understand and apply construction AIA forms and retention policies.
+ Follow up on past due invoices and ensure contract compliance.
+ Report data to clients based on contract terms.
+ Complete general payroll reporting forms and track demographic information.
+ Maintain responsibility for various demographic reports.
+ Contact and interact with subcontractors or agencies for data collection.
+ Handle payment duties and accounts receivable applications, including receiving and posting payments to correct accounts.
+ Engage in various accounting projects and report generation as requested.
+ Conduct KPI reporting and make journal entries for the general ledger.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or finance.
+ Proficiency in Excel and financial systems such as ProCore and eCMS.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
+ Experience with construction pay applications, such as AIA, is a plus.
Work Environment
After 90 days of employment, the position offers a hybrid work environment with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, Minnesota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.50 - $36.05/hr.
