At PwC, our people in deals focus on providing strategic advice and support to clients in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and restructuring. They help clients navigate complex transactions and maximise value in their business deals.In capital markets accounting advisory services at PwC, you will focus on providing strategic guidance on a broad range of technical accounting, financial reporting, transaction structures and capital markets topics. You will advise clients on complex accounting advisory and financial reporting issues around deals (both public and private) and other transformational business events that may impact an organisation’s value.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the development, implementation, and review of ECL models in accordance with IFRS 9 standards, ensuring accuracy and compliance.Analyze and interpret complex data sets related to credit risk and expected credit losses.Support clients in understanding the accounting implications of ECL models, including financial reporting and disclosure requirements.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to contribute to the enhancement of ECL models and accounting practices.Stay updated on the latest developments and changes in IFRS 9 and related financial regulations.Assist in the preparation and presentation of reports, proposals, and insights to senior management and clients.Contribute to the evaluation and optimization of clients' accounting processes and systems within the BFSI sector, providing strategic solutions for enhanced efficiency.Provide support in technical guidance on hedge accounting practices, assisting clients in applying IFRS standards to manage financial risk effectively.Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate clients and team members on IFRS 9 requirements.Participate in business development efforts by identifying opportunities for expanding advisory services related to ECL and IFRS 9.Mandatory Skill Sets:
Strong background in ECL modeling and accounting implications under IFRS 9.Proficiency in data analysis and financial modeling tools and software.Excellent knowledge of IFRS 9 standards and accounting principles related to ECL.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.Experience in client-facing roles and stakeholder management.Preferred Skill Sets:
Advanced knowledge of financial instruments and their impact on ECL modeling.Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry best practices in the banking sector.Experience in managing projects and delivering results within a structured timeline.Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.Years of Experience Required:
3-5 years of post-qualification experience.Education Qualification:
Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification, or ACCA or CA CC.Education (if blank, degree and/or field of study not specified)
