Associate Cloud Security Architect
**Introduction** As a Cloud Security Architect, you will play a key role in ensuring the security and compliance of our cloud environments. You will work closely with engineering, operations, and compliance teams to implement security best practices, assess risks, and support secure adoption of cloud services. This role emphasizes advisory, governance, and practical implementation guidance rather than deep design or coding responsibilities. **Your role and responsibilities** · Support senior architects in providing security guidance for cloud services and workloads across public and hybrid environments. · Assist with risk assessments, compliance reviews, and security control validation. · Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into cloud operations and DevOps processes. · Monitor emerging threats and recommend improvements to security posture. · Help to develop and maintain security standards, policies, and best practices. · Participate in security-related projects and initiatives to improve cloud security posture. · Continuously learn and apply cloud security frameworks, tools, and best practices. **Required technical and professional expertise** · 3+ years of experience in IT General or related technical roles. · 1+ years of experience in security, compliance, or risk management. · Experience with major public cloud platforms (IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, or GCP). · Familiarity with cloud-native services (PaaS, IaaS, SaaS). · Understanding of core cloud security domains, including: · Identity and Access Management (IAM) · Encryption and key management · Secure networking and Zero Trust principles · Storage security · Monitoring and auditing cloud resources · Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, FedRAMP, PCI DSS, HIPAA, GDPR). · Exposure to secure software development practices (e.g., DevSecOps, CI/CD security automation, IaC security, secrets management, container scanning). · Ability to translate technical security requirements into actionable guidance for teams. · Strong communication skills for explaining security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders. **Preferred technical and professional experience** · Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security or a related field · Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, AWS, Azure, GCP or security certifications. · Experience with threat modeling, risk assessments, or security audits.
