At PwC, our people in finance consulting specialise in providing consulting services related to financial management and strategy. These individuals analyse client needs, develop financial solutions, and offer guidance and support to help clients optimise their financial performance, improve decision-making, and achieve their financial goals.

In economics consulting at PwC, you will apply economic principles and analytical techniques to offer advice and guidance to businesses, public agencies, or organisations. Your work involves conducting research, analysing data, and interpreting economic trends to help clients make informed decisions on various aspects such as financial strategies, market dynamics, policy implications, and resource allocation. Working in this area, you will be responsible for providing valuable insights into economic conditions, helping clients navigate challenges, optimise performance, and achieve their goals in a dynamic and ever-changing economic landscape.

Responsibilities:

Support the team in the execution of projects across various roles and capacities.Assist in diverse business development activities.Conduct research, validation, and data analysis to deliver high-quality client deliverables.Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to undertake extensive travel to project locations as required.Exhibit courage, integrity, and passion for client service.Continuously learn, share knowledge, and drive innovation.Maintain an open mind, be practical, and agile in adapting to change.Communicate effectively with impact and empathy.

Mandatory Skill Sets:

Strong proficiency in MS Office tools, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Fluency in English and Bengali (reading, writing, and speaking).Excellent report writing and data analytics skills.Ability to work collaboratively and support team deliverables.

Preferred Skill Sets:

Proficiency in SharePoint and advanced MS Office tools such as Visio and Advanced Excel.Experience or knowledge of data management and analysis tools such as SPSS, R, Python.Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or PowerBI.Published reports in national or sub-national journals.Internship or professional experience in research, banking, insurance, or financial institutions.Additional language skills beyond English and Bengali.Exposure to management consulting, funding agencies, or government consulting in sectors like Public Finance & Economics, Financial Sector, Urban Infrastructure, etc.

Years of Experience Required:

2 to 5 years of relevant experience (preferably in consulting roles).

Education Qualification:

Essential: Master’s degree in Economics, Chartered Accountant (CA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or Business Administration with consistent exemplary academic performance.Fluency in English and Bengali (spoken and written).Desirable: Educational degree from a foreign institution.
