The **Associate Category Manager** will manage a segment of the Ferrous Castings category within the North America region. This is a fantastic opportunity for career development into Category Management. **What you will do:** + **Collaboration:** Identify, engage and align with internal stakeholders (engineering, operations, quality or other business partners) to capture category requirements and ensure supplier qualification and quality; + **Partner** with business unit Procurement teams to efficiently transition suppliers as needed; Support region/sector New Product Development (NPD) Procurement teams through preferred supplier programs. + **Negotiations** : Support negotiations and supplier selection; accountable for contract lifecycle management and compliance. + Cost Management: Responsible for delivering category productivity through price, value analysis (VA) or continuous improvement projects. + **Supplier Management** : Support supplier segmentation, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and quarterly supplier reviews for all strategic suppliers within category; Ensure creation of supplier profiles for all SRM suppliers. + **Risk Management:** Actively monitor and mitigate supplier risk including financial, capacity, quality, and compliance. **Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or related field. + 2+ years of procurement / sourcing experience, ex: consulting, purchasing / buyer, and/or analyst experience. + Ability to assess vendors and demonstrated negotiating skills. + Demonstrated experience facilitating discussions and strong conflict resolution skills. + Professional communication; both verbal and written are required. **Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:** $56,300.00 - $101,394.99 **Compensation Type:** Salary **Incentive Eligible:** No **Sales Commission Eligible:** No **Disclaimer** : We strive to provide competitive compensation for this position, tailored to a variety of factors.
