Associate Buyer
What You'll Do: Support the procurement of a variety of materials and services to effectively support the MRO Procurement Process for the plant. Revision of requisitions, confirming that all necessary information is provided, including quotes, pricing agreements, contracts, etc., following our Supply Chain Policies and Procedures. Perform process from beginning to end, requisition to Purchase Order and receipt of parts and services at plant; maintaining internal customer informed of ETA when available. In This Function, You Will SUPPORT: 1. Requests quotes for maintenance, repairs and services to support manufacturing operation and building structure projects, and other activities. 2. Support in all MRO requisitions and convert to Purchase Orders 3. Place orders, confirm with supplier receipt of order. 4. Maintain accurate procurement files on POs and ETAs 5. Maintain all reports with accurate and up-date information. 6. Follow up and expedite outstanding orders with suppliers, provide feedback to internal customers. 7. Work on Hold invoices and assist with all SC Department invoices. 8. Assist with Defer/Cancel exception messages of orders as required by customers or any changes. 9. Maintain customers satisfaction Team Managers informed of any problems which affect the ETA of materials or project timeframe. 10. Maintain internal customers informed of all changes and expedites. 11. Order Management support in AS400. 12. Support and backup for Senior Buyers. Qualifications: Basic knowledge of procurement and MRP processes Strong communication and negotiation skills Attention to detail. Organizational and time management skills Computer proficiency, especially with Microsoft Excel and purchasing or ERP systems. Qualifications: Minimum Education Requirement: Associate degree or Equivalent Minimum Experience: At least two years in a similar position Preferred Skills -Leadership. -Good communication skills in English and Spanish. -Excellent interpersonal relationships. -Ability to work under minimal supervision and under pressure. -Good mathematical skills and computer use. **Pay Details:** $20.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include short-term disability and additional voluntary benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
