Associate Business Development Specialist

The Associate Business Development Specialist role is a highly visible customer facing role responsible for driving new business sales to assigned large Corporate Multi Unit (CMU) customers (i.e. Crumble Cookie, Cheesecake Factory, Sodexho, Armark etc). Acts as the primary point of contact for the field Business Development team and assigned CMU customers. Responsible for managing communication with stakeholders both internally and externally.
+ **20%** Execute sales initiates to increase share of wallet with existing CMU customers by soliciting new opportunities and penetrating existing customers with a focus on promotions, new product intros and field event management . Support the strategy, budget and sales by providing face time with customers to identify opportunities.
+ **20** % Work across Sysco USBL teams and across many regions including Canda to deliver timely and relevant information and communications between the customer and internal teams to build successful solutions and programs to defend existing business and win new growth opportunities. Arrange and oversee dropship logistics to ensure timely fulfillment, preventing lost revenue.
+ **20** % Lead and manage customer facing projects for multiple concurrent customer initiatives that streamline processes and improve response times, directly impacting sales growth.
+ **20** % Monitor and analyze inventory levels to prevent stockouts, ensuring National Accounts can always order and receive key items. Perform case sales analysis and forecasting to provide actionable insights that can help guide logistics and optimize inventory.
+ **10** % Travel to and support customer events and shows across the U.S. and Canda to showcase and sell our products.
+ **10** % Conduct new customer onboarding activities on our ordering processes, ensuring they understand how to efficiently place orders, track inventory and maximize their product selection.
**Education Required:**
HS Diploma
**Education Preferred:**
Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, business, or related area
**Experience Required:**
Minium 3-5 years of related sales experience; experience in multiple function and geographically dispersed teams
**Experience Preferred:**
Culinary/foodservice sales
**Skills and Abilities:**
+ Advanced computer skills required; proficient with office applications such as MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
+ Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and professional skills are necessary to perform at a high degree of proficiency. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, management and inter-department
+ A mastery of organization and project management skills, including the ability to plan, prioritize and execute multiple initiatives/deadlines autonomously and shift priorities, as necessary. Able to manage large and complex projects.
+ Analytical and technical skills in using sales productivity, performance, gross margin and other related data.
+ Strong listening, negotiation and presentation skills
+ Relationship building – ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, peers and support staff.
+ Ability to seek out customers
+ Ability to sell
