Key Responsibilities:The Associate Analyst – Payroll Operations plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate processing and recording of the company’s payroll while delivering timely and precise financial information. This position involves active participation in daily payroll operations within the PeopleSoft HMRS system, including processing, coordinating, and approving various payroll functions. By leveraging leadership skills, the Associate Analyst drives efficiency, achieves operational objectives, and ensures all payroll functions meet audit requirements. Collaborating cross-functionally within the department and across the company, the Associate Analyst focuses on process improvements, automation, and adherence to payroll guidelines for all work groups. Additionally, they manage multiple special projects, maintain accountability for their work, and support the Payroll Management team in fostering a collaborative and successful team environment.
Analyze and approve/coordinate multiple payroll processes for all pay groups within the assigned timelineUse critical thinking skills to perform an exploratory analysis on multiple payroll processes to identify and proactively resolve problemsRun queries and analyze data for multiple payroll processes, using pivot tables and v-lookups when applicableSubmit changes/adjustments based on outcome of analysisTake action to resolve problems found within payroll, benefits, deductions, and tax data. If needed, escalate to the appropriate stakeholders for approvals and/or discussion to resolve the issue Research and provide resolution on payroll issues while working cross-functionally within the department and across the companyPlan and develop timelines, as well as address issues and identify solutions for various payroll processesUnderstand and apply applicable labor contracts for various work groupsUnderstand and research data from multiple systems and how they interface with PeopleSoft and the employee’s paycheck. Analyze all transactions from the various systemsProcess Help Hub tickets and handle incoming phone call inquiries/issues from employeesManage, train, and handle other payroll related projects as assignedNote: This position provides a hybrid work arrangement based with in-office requirements 50% of the time in Houston, TX. This role will travel up to 5% of the time.

The base pay range for this role is $52,725.00 to $68,632.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
