Position Summary:
The Financial Analyst is responsible for tracking financial performance of operations expense, forecasting, and variance analysis. Assists and supports short and long-term Maintenance Capital and O&M expense planning activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform detailed variance analysis of actual financial results versus plan, forecast, and key performance metrics for maintenance capital projectsIdentify trends in variances and make recommendations for financial improvement and optimization to managementWork closely with accounting to ensure accurate financial reportingCoordinate with field analysts, operations management, and project managers to accurately budget and forecast projects and expensesDevelop and maintain financial dashboards and key performance indicator (KPI) reports to provide real-time insights to senior managementCollaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvementsDevelop and maintain long-range planning models to forecast future financial performance and support strategic decision-makingAppropriately categorize projects as Growth, Maintenance, or Expense in accordance with Energy Transfer’s corporate capitalization guidelinesAssist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual performance management reporting for Joint VenturesConduct comprehensive financial modeling to support strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, capital investments, and market expansion.Support the company-wide annual planning process and subsequent monthly forecasting processIncrease productivity and efficiency by developing automated reports and processesProvide support for earnings releases, 10-K, 10-Q, and other external financial reportingContribute to overall Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis team goals as needed

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business preferredAssociate Analyst - 0-2 years; Analyst - 2-5 years; Sr Analyst - 5-8 years of related work experienceDemonstrated analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsMust be highly proficient with MS Excel and PowerPointHighly organized with the ability to perform multiple tasksSelf-starter with ability to learn quicklyProactively seek out continuous improvement opportunities Take initiative in leading projects and driving resultsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenIBM Cognos TM1, Power BI, Alteryx, SAP, Power Query, Pivot Tables experience preferredWorking Conditions:
