Position Overview
The Associate Client Executive is responsible for strategically managing client relationships with a consultative approach, focusing on proactive service and support. This role involves overseeing renewal activities and the administration of products for assigned clients while serving as a primary day-to-day contact. The Associate Client Executive collaborates closely with Sales Executives to secure new business and enhance existing client partnerships, ensuring that client needs are met through tailored solutions and expert guidance. The Associate Client Executive plays a crucial role in driving client satisfaction and retention.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for the strategic and day-to-day management of Benefits accounts by developing solid partnerships with clients’ senior decision-makers, HR managers, and other support staff.
Strategize with Sales Executives to present capabilities, secure new business, and grow the block of business with new clients and new lines of coverage, including cross-selling across the agency’s service offerings.
Offer creative, strategic, proactive, and technically correct advice to clients, while developing extensive knowledge of carriers and products offered.
Assist in preparing bid specifications for Requests for Proposal (RFPs), obtaining necessary census and historical data for the bid process, and analyzing quotes to offer advice on competitive carriers/products.
Actively negotiate with insurance carrier representatives and underwriters to develop innovative, practical solutions and prepare client proposals for approval.
Manage the implementation of new lines of coverage and carrier changes, ensuring a smooth launch/transition and completing all new/renewal business paperwork and internal documentation.
Monitor legislative and regulatory changes, advising internal and external clients of compliance requirements, and assisting clients in understanding how these issues apply to them.
Prepare employee communication materials such as brochures, flyers, and payroll stuffers, and conduct group education and enrollment meetings at client sites or via webinar as required.
Provide subject matter expertise and leadership to the internal service delivery team, mentoring and developing others internally and externally through industry and community involvement.
Resolve escalated service issues and maintain electronic client files, including ongoing documentation of client meetings, issues, and decisions.
Ensure all licensing and appointment information required to obtain commissions is completed with carriers, and proof booklets and contracts for accuracy, reporting inaccuracies to the carriers for correction.
Plan, prioritize and complete day-to-day workload taking into account new business, renewal business and day-to-day service responsibilities for the accounts assigned in a timely manner ensuring internal/external deadlines are met.
Conduct all business in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Frequent travel to client sites within AZ; Minimal travel possible outside of AZ.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Required:
High School Diploma or GED
6+ years in group benefits with at least 4+ years in Client Manager or similar level role
Licensed in Arizona Health, Life and Disability
Ability to develop and work with mathematical formulas
Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally, with internal and external parties
Ability to conduct education and enrollment meetings (comfortable with public speaking)
Excellent time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills with high attention to detail
Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients, carriers and peers
Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
Preferred:
Some college or technical training in related discipline
Continuing education such as RHU, REBC, CEBS, or CBP
