Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Associate to join our team in Alameda, CA. You will be working primarily in the production area where your primary tasks will include grinding and weighing coffee products, sealing them, and rotating them onto the production line for packaging, labeling, and making boxes. This position requires fluency in English, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

Perform general production duties on the conveyor belts, assisting with the grinding and weighing process.Maintain a clean and safe working environment.Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).Stand and walk continuously in a warehouse environment throughout an 8-hour day or more.Engage in frequent pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching to stack, carry, lift, and pick products throughout an 8-hour day or more.Continuously lift 20 lbs, frequently lift 25-40 lbs, and occasionally lift 50 lbs or more.Frequently stack pallets and totes (20-50 lbs) up to 6 feet tall.Lift above the shoulders frequently.

Essential Skills

Attention to detail.Self-management and ability to work independently.Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.Ability to communicate respectfully, clearly, and concisely, both orally and in writing in Spanish.Ability to work effectively with a diverse team.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Prior food manufacturing experience is preferred.Ability to uphold and follow safety, food safety, and production quality standards.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately in Spanish.Scheduling flexibility, including overtime and different shifts as needed.Accuracy, thoroughness, reliability, and adaptability to changing priorities.Self-directed and able to complete all tasks with minimal supervision.

Work Environment

This is the Roasting Center, a fast-paced environment where you will be expected to be actively engaged at all times. Flexibility is key, as you may be required to work in other departments as needed.

This is a Contract position based out of Alameda, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.
