**The Opportunity**
This position works out of our Abbott Park, IL location in CHR Corporate Human resources division. This is an onsite position.
The Associate 1 Payroll is responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of the organisation's payroll.
**What You’ll Work On**
+ Prepares the monthly payroll, conducting the necessary processes for payment of the various components of salary, such as vacation pay, overtime, etc.
+ Process court ordered child support withholdings and garnishments.
+ Document and maintain payroll processes.
+ Triage tickets related to payroll inquiries
+ Review and fulfill wage verification inquiries
+ Review overpayments and send communications accordingly
+ Provide customer service to employees and managers by answering incoming questions related to payroll and timekeeping
**Required Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma/ GED or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
+ Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, detailed oriented and problem solve
+ Effectively navigate a matrixed organization while managing competing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced setting
+ Demonstrated Customer Service skills via email and phone
+ Demonstrate basic personal computer skills including experience with Payroll software and Microsoft applications Word and Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot tables, and creating macros).

The base pay for this position is $17.80 – $35.60 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
